I had used this perfume since 1998. By the way I am a woman... When I wear it a lot of people ask me what is the name of the perfume I am wearing. I got compliments about the smell even at Starbucks! I only wear it on my neck, sometimes a little bit on my chest. It can go from morning to evening smelling the same on me. I had smelled on guys, the fragrance is different, but also very good. For the person that said in a previous review that is not long lasting... well maybe your body chemistry doesn't work with it. I think you need to have the personality for this fragrance. Never buy it before trying it on you. It is worth every cent it cost, amazing price at Amazon!

This is an intimate, special occasion cologne. Beware, if you spray too much, you'll smell like rubber. Even though this is not good for physical activities, I wore this to work a couple times and got nothing but complements and curiosity from my lady co-workers. It claims to be a day time cologne, but I think it's more of a night time/date cologne. It may seem very feminine when you smell it from the spray hole or on paper, but when it mixes with a mans natural oder, it becomes masculine, and for women, it becomes feminine. I find that I can use it all year round.

BVLGARI BLACK is one of the best smelling fragrances I've ever purchased - if not THE best.
It definitely is NOT unisex. It's a very masculine smell. Part sweet, part smokey and very clean smelling.
It's very strong when you first apply it, so be sure you put it on at least 30 minutes before you go out. The smell morphs from smelling almost like "burnt rubber" to a smokey vanilla.
Definitely a chic magnet - plus very few people wear it - so you'll always be unique.

Amazing, unique olfactory experience. Not for the meek and mild but for the woman (or man) who craves something a little racy and out of the ordinary.

First of all, unisex? Um, no. The smell is to strong and masculine for a woman. It is soft in an Armani-wearing, BMW driving, corporate way. It reeks of respectability.
The smell can be overwhelming if too much is applied. It will cling to clothing and last for hours. It is almost intoxicating how smooth the scent is.
I also recommend that if you purchase this, do not use other smells with it, ie: body wash, after shave, deodorant. Too many smells together can really ruin the cologne.
It is a smooth, musk, woodsy smell with a hint of citrus. Simply perfect.
